Our Founder:
An ordained minister, Lana has been working in world missions for 20 years.
The W.W.A.M. ministry was birthed out of her mission work in the Philippines, beginning in 1985. WWAM's purpose is developing, training and equipping women for leadership in nations around the world, with a focus on Third World countries.
Through W.W.A.M., Lana has trained thousands of women for ministry in Asian, South Asian, and African nations as well as in the United States. She has ministered in South Africa, Swaziland, Uganda, Malaysia, Japan, Philippines (10 islands), India, Sri Lanka, China, Mauritius Islands and Hong Kong. Through her efforts more than 800,000 people have been reached with the gospel in more than 350 cities and 800 remote villages; and she has been instrumental in establishing 240 churches.
Lana and her husband John are members of New Life Church in Colorado Springs. They mentor couples in the marriage mentoring program, and Lana is the leader of two prayer cells. |

"Yes, God, I will go...
...but I don’t want to eat any worms," I said.
Missionary films I had seen always seemed to have scenes of a tribal chief offering the missionaries worms to eat – as a treat. Many years later while preparing for my first missions trip to Africa, I heard the Holy Spirit say, “You don’t have to eat any worms.” What a relief!
